Rollover Accident on Route V

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Pettis County deputies and Pettis County Fire responded to a rollover accident that occurred Thursday afternoon.

According to the Patrol, 63-year-old Randy Hunsucker of Independence was the driver of a westbound 2014 Dodge on Route V, one tenth of a mile west of Walnut School Road at 3:33 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert and a tree then overturned, coming to rest on its top.

Hunsucker suffered minor injuries and refused treatment on scene. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The Dodge was totaled and towed from the scene by In Motion.
