Sacred Heart Gremlins baseball took the first game of a three-way round robin in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off error at the end of the game to topple Lincoln.

Sacred Heart Gremlins Varsity trailed 13-8 going into the bottom of the seventh. After plating three runs to make it 13-11, a bases loaded error on an overthrow at first base scored three runs for Sacred Heart to end the game.

Lincoln scored five runs in the sixth inning to take the 13-8 lead. The offensive firepower by Lincoln was led by Nate Hesse, Hayden Beaman and Evan Schwedler, all driving in runs in the frame.

Dallin Chappell got the win for Sacred Heart. He lasted one inning, allowing one hit and zero runs while walking zero. Chase Marshall threw three innings in relief and keeping the score close before Chappell took over in the seventh.

Bo Williams took the loss for Lincoln. He went one-third of an inning, allowing two runs on two hits and walking zero. Caden Smallwood started the game for Lincoln. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out four Zaine Dover started the game for Sacred Heart Gremlins Varsity. He surrendered seven runs on four hits over three innings, striking out one.

Sacred Heart racked up 11 hits in the game.  Marshall, Nolan Walker, Bryan Schlotterbeck and Easton Webb each collected multiple hits for Sacred Heart Gremlins Varsity.  Marshall went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Grems in hits.
