In Junior High Volleyball action both JH teams, A & B are having winning seasons and beat the Smithton Tigers.

Phenomenal serving from Anna Carney, Addi Figgie, Ava Judd, Molly Brown, and Lauren Diller helped the GREMLINS capture the lead and win. Leading in assists were Paisley Carl and Ava Judd with kills from Anna Carney and Addi Figgie.

In High School action, the JV took the first set from the undefeated Smithton JV team. The Gremlins won the first set 27-25 and then lost the next two 19-25, and 8-15.

The JV is back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 20 for a PINK OUT game vs Lincoln at home next week.

Sacred Heart Varsity beat the Smithton Tigers in 3 sets 25-16, 25-18, 25-9. A balanced offense made a difference with four of the seniors leaders Emma Siron, Mariana Restrepo Kate Carney, and Zoe Martin having 10, 9, 8, and 5 kills allowing Junior Sammy Altena to rack up 18 assists.

Sophomore Avery Epple took on a new role as Libero and had a solid night on defense giving the Gremlins the opportunity to be in system most of the night. Junior Emily Hesse had her debut appearance as a setter.

"I'm really happy to see that the work we are putting in at practice is paying off. The girls are getting better and more confident in their roles and most importantly learning to work together through the struggles." said head coach Marlo Siron.

The Varsity's next action is Thursday night at Home vs the Otterville Eagles with JH VB beginning at 5:30 and Varsity following. And then they head to Camdenton for a tournament where they will face some stiff competition.

Varsity record is 9-1 Overall / 2-0 in Conference
