On Tuesday, the Sacred Heart Gremlins track and field team competed in the Lone Jack Invitational. 

Facing strong competition from Class 2, 3 and 4 schools, the Gremlins turned in great performances, according to Carrie Smith,
Sacred Heart Track Coach.

The boys' 4x800 m relay set a new school record of 9:22.62 - relay members: freshmen Jared Owens and Logan Howell, sophomore Nathan Lemeshko and junior Jackson Manning.

Senior Kate Carney:  first in shot put (9.21m), first in discus (25.40m), 4th in javelin (21.85m)

Junior Reuben Smith: 4th in the 400m dash (58.65)

Junior Jackson Manning: 4th in the 1600m run (4:58.54)

Senior Mariana Restrepo: 5th in the long jump (4.25m)

The boys' 4x400 m relay placed 4th (3:53.28) - relay members: freshmen Max Van Leer and Jared Owens, juniors Reuben Smith and Jackson Manning.

The Gremlins travel to Russellville Saturday, April 1.
