Sacred Heart Swimmers Compete at Lee’s Summit West

The Sacred Heart swim team faced its toughest competition yet  last night at Lee's Summit West. 

Sacred Heart was without one swimmer due to the flu, but managed to place in some events.

In the freestyle relay, Sacred Heart placed 7th out of 11 teams.

Arly Ponce had a big night, taking third in the 500 free, and sixth place in the individual medley.

Allie Ferguson had a strong finish in the 100 free, placing 15th.

Maia Smith had a great sprint, finishing 12th in the 50 freestyle.

“Our next meet is next Wednesday, Jan. 15 in Raytown,” according to Sacred Heart head swim coach Patti Hegger.
