Safe Found in Pettis County Bean Field Contains ‘Crystal Substance’

On Monday morning at 5 a.m., Pettis County deputies recovered a safe in a bean field in the 31600 block of Highway HH in Pettis County.

Deputies opened the safe to see if they could locate the owner, and discovered a large amount of a crystal substance with a weight of over 90 grams, along with drug paraphernalia, empty baggies and a digital scale.

Evidence was submitted to the MSHP Crime Lab for fingerprints, then charges will be submitted to the prosecutor for 1st degree drug trafficking.
