Bothwell Regional Health Center is hosting a Safe Sitter babysitting class in February.

A press release from BRHC says the class will take place Saturday, February 24, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m, in the Bothwell Education Center.

The class is designed for children in 6th - 8th grades who are interested in babysitting. The Safe Sitter Program is described as a comprehensive, one-day course that includes pediatric CPR training. It can help teach young teens and preteens how to be safe babysitters.

Students in the class have the opportunity to learn about injury management and prevention, childcare essentials, behavior management, the business of babysitting, and how to care for a choking child or infant.

The cost for the class is $35.00 and includes a messenger bag containing babysitting essentials.

Preregistration is required. And payment is due by Friday, February 16.
