There are a lot of times that you do not ask for a receipt for items.  Perhaps you purchased some fast food, or a item or two from the Dollar Tree, and it just isn't necessary.  I can remember a fabulous stand up routine from the late Mitch Hedberg about getting a receipt for a donut.  So funny!  Watch it below:

Now I do agree with Mitch about the donut, but in this case, if you ever go to the gas pump, you may want to make sure you are getting a receipt, either from the pump, or by going inside to your gas station of choice.  And hang on to them.  You could get money back later on this year.

Despite the fact that Missouri has one of, if not the lowest, gas prices in the country they are high.  People have to drive to work, or get groceries, the post office, etc.  There are only so many places that you can walk to in order to save on fuel.  If simply keeping your receipts and putting them in a safe place could get a refund back later on in the year, it may be worth it.
