Sedalia Area Crime Reports for January 14, 2019

A Sedalia woman accused of attacking her father with a knife was arrested on January 10 in the 1500 block of S. Prospect Ave. According to Sedalia Police, officers responded to a domestic disturbance where the man said that his daughter struck him with a lamp, and tried to stab him. Police say 31-year-old Lila Lucille Weaver admitted to the attack and was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Police are investigating a burglary on January 10 at Crickett Wireless on W. Broadway. Officers were dispatched around 12:45 a.m. to the business, where they reportedly discovered that the front door glass had been shattered. No suspects were located in the business, but it was discovered that several cell phones were missing, and a money box had been emptied.

A 46-year-old Warsaw woman was arrested for stealing and forgery on January 10. Sedalia Police say Stacey Gale Martin is accused of switching tags on merchandise at Walmart and leaving the store without paying. Martin was taken to the Pettis County Jail.

A Sedalia man was arrested on January 10 on charges including DWI, drug and alcohol, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no seat belt, and failure to stop at a red light. The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 31-year-old David B. Borgstadt around 7:50 a.m. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and was later released.
