Sedalia Man Arrested after Wreck in Saline County

A 24-year old Sedalia man was arrested early Sunday morning after a crash in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at 4:20, on eastbound I-70 at the 77 mile marker.

According to the online crash report, a 2004 Dodge Charger, driven by 24-year old Nicholas Huerta, of Sedalia, swerved into the path of a Freightliner, driven by 70-year old Evelyn Kline, of Pennsylvania. The swerve caused the Freightliner to impact the Dodge on the driver side. Both vehicles then came to rest.

Huerta suffered minor injuries and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment. A short time later, Huerta was taken into custody for DWI, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, No Insurance and a lane violation. He was later released from the Saline County Jail.

Kline was reportedly uninjured.
