Two women were hurt in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Monday afternoon in Lafayette County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2008 Chevy Equinox, driven by a 57-year-old woman from Sweet Springs, was at Klondike and Highway NN around 2:30, when she crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2001 Honda Civic, driven by a 39-year-old woman from Miami, Mo., head-on.

Both drivers suffered moderate injuries.

The Sweet Springs woman, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was transported by Saline County EMS to University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia.
