Sedalia Man Arrested Following a Shooting Incident Sunday Morning
Sedalia Police Officers responded to 309 East Cooper in reference to a shooting, early Sunday morning (March 12).
According to a press release from the SPD, officers determined someone had driven by the residence and fired shots at the house. The house was occupied by 2 adults and 3 children, at the time.
The Detective Bureau was contacted and further investigation revealed the suspect had an argument with the victim, 41-year-old Christopher Bartlett, who resides at 309 East Cooper. The suspect drove by the residence and fired into the house as a form of retaliation. No injuries were reported.
Information was put out to other law enforcement agencies that the suspect was wanted in connection to the shooting.
Later that evening, Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies located the suspect, 31-year-old Antonio M. Hurst Sr, and after a short pursuit, he was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail.
Charges of 1st Degree Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Firearm, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm are being requested on Hurst Sr.
