On Wednesday evening, a truck was stopped by Sedalia Police at East Broadway Boulevard and South Thompson Avenue for no tail lights and failing to maintain its lane.

A DOR check of the driver revealed he was revoked out of Missouri.

Donovan Lee Sims, 43, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on a state charge of Driving While Revoked. Charges of Failing to Maintain Financial Responsibility and Failure to Register a Vehicle were also being requested.

Approximately an hour and a half later, the truck was stopped again in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South New York. Sims had a newly-issued warrant out of Pettis County for two counts of Driving While Revoked with a $2,000 cash and $2,500 surety bond.

Sims was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges.
