Early Saturday morning, Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation.

At the time of the stop, the male driver fled from the vehicle on foot. A female occupant remained in the vehicle.

The male subject was located as short distance away hiding under a vehicle and taken into custody. The male suspect was discovered to have a revoked driving status and two active Failure to Appear arrest warrants out of Concordia and Lafayette County.

Chad A. Stein, 41, of Concordia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was given a $250 cash or surety bond for Failure to Appear for a misdemeanor traffic violation and a $15,000 cash only bond for felony Failure to Appear on original charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree and Violation of an Order of Protection.

State charges of Driving While Revoked and felony Resisting Arrest are also being sought.
