Sedalia Police Arrest 2 In Drug Investigation at 4th Street Home
Sedalia Police Department's Crime Resolution Unit executed a search warrant in relation to an ongoing drug investigation just after 6:00 AM CDT this morning that resulted in two arrests.
Police executed the search warrant at 1012 W. 4th Street and found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and other items indicating methamphetamine and marijuana were being distributed from the home. At the conclusion of the investigation, Sedalia Police arrested two suspects and transported them to the Pettis County Jail.
Arrested were Holden B. Browning and Jacob C. Astor. The suspects have been placed on 24-hour holds while the following state charges are being sought:
Browning is being held on Distribution/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana), 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Astor is being held on Distribution/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (marijuana), Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
In addition to the state charges being sought, the residence at 1012 W. 4th Street is found to not be in compliance with the Sedalia Ordinance that prohibits maintaining a nuisance property. The owner of the property will have 90 days to resolve the violations within 60 days.
The Sedalia Police Department says the investigation came as a direct result of community members providing information to detectives, and making the police department aware of an ongoing issue in the neighborhood.
