A half dozen winners in the Sedalia Police Department's third annual Drone Unit Coloring Contest have been announced so far.

Three winners were notified on Friday at Sacred Heart Elementary School, and three were notified on Monday at Horace Mann Elementary School.

Det. Nick Camirand, who founded the SPD's drone program five years ago, was accompanied by one of the program sponsors. They personally presented each winner with a drone and a medal at their school.

Winners at Sacred Heart included Jabari Simeus, Gabe Jarvis and Emmett Sauser. They were notified on Friday.

Winners at Horace Mann Elementary included Jeramiah Shoemaker,
Brett Benbrook and Lily Duriano.

More winners will be announced at other schools next week.
