More winners have been announced in the Sedalia Police Department’s Drone Unit Coloring Contest.

On Monday, the top three winners at Parkview Elementary School were awarded a drone and a medal.

They are Helena Townes (third grade), Elona Petrashishin (fourt hgrade) and Tedo Reece (third grade).

On Tuesday, the top three winners at Skyline Elementary School were awarded a drone and a medal.

They are Samuel Bevzyuk, Ella Mantonja and Preston Spellmyer.

Mrs. Taylor Killion, art teacher at Skyline Elementary School, designed the coloring page this year.

Det. Nick Camirand, who founded the SPD's drone program five years ago, was accompanied by one of the program sponsors. They personally presented each winner with a drone and a medal at their school.

Karson Weymuth represented sponsor W-K Chevrolet on Monday and Tuesday morning.

This is the third year for the contest, Det. Camirand said. More winners will be announced at the remaining schools next week.

Sponsors of the contest included the SPD, the Mid-Mo Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 16, AFC Urgent Care, Dairy Queen, Steak ’n Shake, Don’s Truck Towing, InMotion Towing, State Fair Towing, WK Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Walmart, Central Bank of Sedalia, Reed and Sons Jewelry, Rea Funeral Chapel and Elite Dry Cleaners.
