Sedalia Police officers served a drug related search warrant at 2405 Golf Drive, just after 6:00 Friday morning.

According to a press release from the Sedalia Police Department, entry was eventually forced into the residence, where contact was made with two adults and a juvenile.

A male subject was located in the basement, where he was destroying evidence as officers made contact with him. The adult subjects were taken into custody without incident.

The search of the residence revealed methamphetamine, marijuana, various prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. Additional evidence also indicated the male suspect was manufacturing methamphetamine in the home, as there was an active lab located in the basement, at the time officers made entry. The residence is located within 865 feet of Skyline Elementary School, according to that report.

Both the man and woman were arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where they were placed on 24-hour holds. The juvenile was released to a family member.

The male suspect, 40-year-old Brian D. Vinson, was arrested for, Manufacturing a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school (methamphetamine), 1st Degree endangering the welfare of a child, 3 felony count of Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and two different controlled prescription pills), Tampering with physical evidence, Possession of marijuana, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.

The female suspect, 37-year-old Angie L Wirtz, was arrested on 3 felony counts for Possession Of A Controlled Substance (3 different types of controlled prescription pills).
