Around 7:30 Tuesday morning (March 19), Sedalia Police investigated a car parked in an alley and blocking traffic in the 1900 block of S. Prospect Ave. Officers made contact with a man in the backyard of a residence and learned he had a parole violation warrant. The suspect, 41-year old Jason Scott Klein, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. The owner of the vehicle was located and the vehicle was moved.


On Tuesday (March 19), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Westwood for a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Police made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and discovered that 30-year old Zachariah P. Harlan had two felony warrants. Harlan was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


On Monday (March 18), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office at 205 Thompson Road for a report of a suspect with a felony parole violation. 31-year old Derek B. Hughes was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail without bond.


On Monday (March 18), Sedalia Police on patrol in the 1300 block of S. Osage Ave recognized a man with a Probation/Parole violation warrant. Officers attempted to make contact with the man, but he reportedly ran from the area and into a residence. Officers then made contact with the suspect, 33-year old Justin W. Cochran, inside the residence. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with an $18,000.00 bond. While at the jail, Cochran complained of a medical issue. He was then taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment, then back to the jail and booked on several warrants.


Early Sunday morning (March 17), Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 2500 block of Albert Lee Ave to assist with a theft investigation. During the investigation, it was revealed that 21-year old Catherine Anne Cady was in possession of LSD, multiple schedule 4 pills and marijuana. Cady was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of state drug charges.
