Sedalia Police Department Crime Reports for Aug. 11, 2018

On Friday (Aug 10), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of W. 24th Street and S. Missouri Ave for a report of a suspicious couple walking up to homes. Officers located the couple and investigation revealed one man was in possession of methamphetamine. Police arrested 21-year old Shawn Michael Steele, of Eldon, MO. Steele was placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail.

Early Saturday morning (Aug 11), Sedalia conducted a subject check near the intersection of S. Montgomery Ave and E. 9th Street. Dispatch advised that one of the subjects had a Pettis County warrant for an original charge of leaving the scene of an accident. Police arrested 47-year old Thomas Lenard Lee and took him to the Pettis County Jail. Lee had a bond of $2,500.

On Friday (Aug 10), Sedalia Police took a burglary report from the Purple Palace, located in the 400 block of S. Vermont Ave. The victim stated that overnight, someone broke into the building and stole $100. Damage to the door was estimated at $100. There are no suspects at this time.
