Early Sunday morning (Aug 19), Sedalia Police were advised of a victim at Bothwell Regional Heath Center ER with a gunshot wound. Police went to Bothwell and determined that a shooting had taken place in the area of N. Washington Ave and E. Morgan Street. The victim was reportedly treated and released. The incident is currently under investigation. No further details were available in the report.


Around 1:30 Sunday morning  (Aug 19), Sedalia Police took a report of a theft that occurred in the area W. 3rd Street and S. Sneed Ave. According to the report, the suspect got into the victim's vehicle, then walked away. Police made contact with the suspect, 30-year old James William Dingus Fague, in the area of W. 4th Street and Dal-Whi-Mo. The victim had stated winning lottery tickets were stolen from the vehicle. Fague was arrested and placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail for stealing.


On Friday (Aug 17), Sedalia Police took a theft report of brass items that had been taken from a maintenance yard for scrap. The value of the scrap was placed at $112.20. No further details were available in the report.
