Around 6:30 Monday evening (Dec 5), Sedalia Police officers took a report of a hit and run accident in the 500 block of West 6th Street. The victim stated her 2006 Ford Focus was parked in front of her house, and another vehicle had struck the Focus. The victim's car had damage to the left-rear quarter panel and driver's side rear view mirror. Contact was made with the owner of the suspect vehicle. It turned out that the brother of the owner, was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. Charges are being submitted against the suspect for leaving the scene of an accident and driving while suspended. No names were released in the incident report.

 

Also on Monday (Dec 5), Sedalia Police officers took a report of another hit and run accident. A woman stated she was backing out of a parking spot at Advantage Metals, when a truck pulled behind her and hit her bumper. Security footage was reviewed and it showed that the truck, in question, was parked and the woman had backed into it. No name were released and no further details were listed in that report.
