Monday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West 10th and South Kentucky Avenue for a license violation. The driver of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant out of Pettis County for Violation of an Order of Protection. Samual A. Craig, 29, of Green Ridge, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $2,500 cash or surety.


 

Officers responded to the 1500 block of West 3rd Street for a traffic complaint inside Liberty Park Monday night. Officers located the subject and conducted a computer check. Dispatch advised the subject had an active Failure to Appear warrant out of Johnson County for the traffic violation of Illegal U Turn. Jason C. Rapp, 47, of Centerview, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, posting a $200 bond.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West 6th Street and South Moniteau Avenue for an equipment violation Monday night. The driver of the vehicle was found to have two active Failure to Appear warrants for her arrest on original charges of Possession of Marijuana and Operating a Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. While attempting to arrest the driver, she resisted and was found to be in possession of marijuana. Erika Doroshay Thomas, 20, was arrested on her two Failure to Appear Warrants, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Marijuana.


 

Monday afternoon, Sedalia Police spoke with a subject on the phone who reported sexual misconduct of a juvenile involving an adult that occurred in Sedalia. A report has been made and the investigation is ongoing.


 

Officers responded to the Casey's General Store at 716 West 16th Street in reference to forgery and theft Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers met with management who advised that on two separate occasions the night before, a subject came into the store and passed two counterfeit $100 bills, while another subject stole items. There are an additional two people involved in the crimes and the incident was captured on video. Two of the individuals involved have been identified at the time of the report.
