Sedalia Police Reports For June 25, 2020

Wednesday night, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Club Car Wash in the 4200 block of Wisconsin Avenue. Officers spoke with the caller, Jack Wilson, who stated he had lost his wallet at the car wash and when we went to find it, the wallet was gone.  The approximate value of the wallet and contents was $75.  No arrests have been made at this time.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Kohl's store in the 4300 block of Wisconsin Avenue Monday evening in reference to a theft.  When Officers arrived, they spoke with Elizabeth A. Edwards, who said a customer had just walked out with a pair of shoes.  The suspect had left her name prior to leaving the store, but has not been located at this time.

Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Sedalia Police Department in reference to found property Wednesday night.  Floyd Warren Pohl had found a phone by a the pond at Liberty Park.  The phone was placed in evidence for safe keeping.  The owner has not been located.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Department for a subject check Wednesday evening.  Officers made contact with the subject, who said he had a municipal warrant he wanted to take care of.  The warrant was confirmed, and the subject was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked for Failure to Appear.  Chance Howard Todd, 20, of Sedalia, was given a bond of $60 cash and a court date.

Wednesday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Wilkerson Street and South Prospect for a license violation.  A passenger in the vehicle fled on foot and was arrested after a brief foot pursuit.  Kristopher Gavin Lee Paxton, 26, Homeless, was found to be in possession of marijuana and four active felony warrants for his arrest.  Paxton was charged with Resisting Arrest and Possession of Marijuana along with the four warrants.  The driver of the vehicle, Christina S. Miller, 41, of Sedalia, was also arrested for a felony warrant out of Pettis County.
