Sedalia Police spoke to a subject on Tuesday that reported he had been assaulted. 

The subject had told officers that a white male in a red truck offered him a ride.  Once the subject got in the truck, the male began to drive him out of town.  The subject said he attempted to escape the truck, and was punched and thrown to the ground, with minor injuries to his face. Two hours later, officers were called about the same male in the red truck who had assaulted another subject in his truck.  Neither of the subjects wished to pursue charges.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Jiffy Stop in the 1700 block of West Broadway in reference to a theft. Officers were told a male subject departed the business with unpaid merchandise totalling $5.95.  The case is ongoing.


 

Tuesday night, officers conducted an investigative traffic stop near the intersection of South Park and West Spring street.  The driver of the vehicle, Everett Franklin Smith IV, 40, of Sedalia was arrested for driving while revoked.


 

The Fav Trip in the 200 block of West Broadway called Sedalia Police about a theft in progress.  Jennifer Archambault reported that her debit card and been stolen and that it had been cancelled since.


 

A subject check was conducted on West Broadway near Thompson Boulevard after observing a known wanted individual walking. Shane Lewis Mundy, 29, of Sedalia was found to have an active failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $150 cash only bond.


 

In the evening of March 24th, Sedalia Police were called to the 1300 block of South Osage in regards to a physical disturbance. Upon investigation, officers determined the involved parties and found that an assault had taken place.  Jillian K Walker, 27, of Sedalia, was issued a summons for assault.


 

Sedalia Police were called to the 1600 Block of West 9th street in reference to a found property report.  The home owner, Matt Mergen, reported drugs were found in a rental property.  The drugs were collected for destruction Tuesday evening.


 

Artis J Ross reported to the Police Station lobby on Tuesday afternoon to report someone had entered his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 3200 block of West Main. The victim said the only thing missing was 9mm Ruger pistol.
