This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. On the evening of November 9th, Officers responded to a local business for a report of a bomb threat. Through the initial investigation of the threat, which was made to the business over the phone, it appeared to be unfounded. Minutes later, a similar threat was made to another Sedalia business by the same subject. The second threat was again determined to be unfounded. The incident is being investigated as terror threats.


Late Monday night, an SUV was stopped at East Broadway and South Ingram Avenue for driving without headlights. A warrant check of the passenger revealed that he had a $1,500 cash or surety warrant out of Pettis County for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Troy C. Wright, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


Monday morning, Terry S. Zaremba reported one of two license plates were stolen from his vehicle in the 3300 block of West 10th Street. At the time of the report, the victim didn't have any suspect information.


Officers responded to the 2300 block of West Main Street Monday morning for report of a theft. David Young with Superior Vend-All reported that two catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles at the address.


Sedalia Police responded to the 5100 block of Pelham Drive for a report of a theft Monday morning. Tony Evans reported that a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot of Load King.


On the afternoon of October 31st, a handgun was surrendered to the Sedalia Police Department during the course of another investigation. It is being secured in evidence for safekeeping.


Monday afternoon, Officers made contact with a suspect in the area of the Sonic restaurant in the 300 block of West Broadway. Dispatch ran her information and advised the suspect had a warrant, and sent off for confirmation. The warrant was confirmed by hard copy a short time later. The suspect had a warrant out of Pettis County for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Amphetamines). Jada D. Kraft, 51, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where her bond was set at $7,500.00 cash or surety.


On the afternoon of November 5th, a disturbance involving juveniles was reported in the 500 block of South Park Avenue. At the time of the incident, no injuries were reported and no criminal charges are being sought. An informational report was completed documenting the incident.


Last Thursday afternoon, a report was made for violation of a protection order in the 300 block of West Third Street. A case report was completed and will be submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor for review. At the time of the report, no arrest was made.


Sedalia Police investigated a hit and run non injury motor vehicle accident in the 1100 block of West 3rd on the afternoon of November 5th. A vehicle struck a parked vehicle and failed to report the accident. At the time of the report, there was no suspect information available.


Officers investigated a theft from the Menards store in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue on the morning of November 5th. Management reported more than $2,000.00 in merchandise was stolen. At the time of the report, no arrests have been made.
