Early Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of the 1400 block of West 3rd street on a report of a subject underneath a car. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the caller, who stated he saw someone under his neighbor's car. He stated when he went outside, the suspect got into a car and drove south on Carr. It was determined a Catalytic Converter was taken off of the car. No value was given.


 

Thursday night, Officers were dispatched to the area of 5th and Park on a report of a disturbance between a male and a female. On Officer's arrival, they located the subjects in the 1200 block of East 4th Street. Both subjects stated they had been in a disturbance. Both subjects had minor cuts on them. Officers were unable to determine a primary aggressor. Both subjects stated they did not want to seek any charges. Both subjects were advised the incident would be placed in a 12 hour log. The female left the area.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the area of West 3rd and South Harrison for a motor vehicle accident Thursday afternoon. On arrival, Officers spoke with the driver of a vehicle involved. A computer check through dispatch confirmed her to not have an operator's status. Cecilia Herrera Quetzecua, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department to be fingerprinted. Quetzecua was issued a citation for no operator's status and released with a court date.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Wilkerson regarding a dead body; the deceased had been on hospice care and was about to be transferred to a nursing home. Multiple agencies have been contacted in regard to this matter.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department Thursday afternoon in regard to a theft. Linda Heathman reported a theft in the 200 block of East Morgan. Six items were taken, with a combined estimated value of $395.00.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers took a report on a harassment call in the 200 block of South Ohio. The report is marked Information Report Only.


 

Officers were dispatched to the American Motel in the 1200 block of South Limit Thursday evening. Officers arrived with information from dispatch that someone at the location had been stabbed. Officers found a male victim, who reported he had been stabbed several times by an unknown suspect that fled the area on foot. The victim was transported by air ambulance and his condition was not known at the time of the report.


 

Thursday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Break Time store in the 300 block of West Broadway in reference to found property. Officers arrived and spoke with management. They reported a bike had been left on the property. The owner is unknown. The bicycle was transported to the bike shed and placed into evidence as found property.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South Vermont in reference to a possible deceased person Thursday morning. Officers arrived at the residence and made contact with the complainant. The complainant reported that he went to check on the victim and had found him deceased. Officers made contact with the victim, and found his body to be cold to the touch with no signs of life. There were no signs of foul play. Officers advised dispatch to contact the Pettis County Coroner, who arrived a short time later. The victim's body was transported to the Rea Funeral Home.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the intersection of West 3rd and South Stewart Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident. The suspect vehicle was described as a green Ford Ranger with some rear damage, which was being driven by a white male wearing a hat. Officers searched the area, but were unable to find the driver. Charges have been submitted against the other driver for Driving While Revoked. No arrest was made at the time, due to them being admitted into the hospital.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of East 10th in regard to possible child abuse Wednesday afternoon. While the explanation fit the injury, it was still suspicious in nature due to the location of the injury and age of the child. A report has been taken to document the incident.
