Centennial and Liberty pools will open Monday, June 1 for the 2020 season, according to an announcement by Sedalia Parks & Rec today.

Centennial Pool, 1400 E. 16th, will be open 1 – 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 1 – 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Liberty Pool, 1700 W. 3rd, will be open 1 – 6 p.m. Sunday though Thursday, 1- 7 p.m. Friday, and 12 – 7 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is $4 for everyone ages four and up, and free for three and under.

There is a daily admission special, which is half price after 5 p.m.

Passbooks are available for $40 for 12 tickets.

Season passes are available as well. $60 each. Or buy three passes in one transaction and they are $50 each. Passes must be purchased at the Sedalia Parks & Rec office, not at the pools, it was noted.

The participant must be present during a season pass purchase for photo ID purposes. The pass will be good for general admission, adult swim and “Swimming Under the Stars.”

In addition, swimming lessons will be offered by Parks & Rec.

Session One runs June 8-18 (register by June 4)

Session Two runs July 6-16 (register by July 2)

Session Three runs July 27-Aug. 6 (register by July 23)

Cost is $35 per session and they meet Monday and Thursday. All sessions take place at Liberty Pool.
