There are several different options for you to entertain the family this weekend.  Here's what's going on! 

The St Paul’s Lutheran School will have their Octoberfest.

It’ll be held on Friday, Oct. 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Gymnasium. They’ll have hot dogs and chili, carnival games, a silent auction and cake walk.

The State Fair Community College Music Arts program will present its fall concerts at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 and 19 in the Stauffacher Theatre on the Sedalia campus.

The program will feature the SFCC Chamber Choir, Jazz Choir and Jazz Band performing music representing multiple eras and styles.  The Chamber Choir will perform contemporary selections by Lightfoot, Nelson, Walker, and Copland among others. Selections will include “Fanfare for a Festival,” “Simple Gifts” and the spiritual “Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel.”  Vocal jazz selections will include the standards “How High the Moon,” “When I Fall in Love” and “The Lady Is a Tramp.”  Jazz Band selections will feature the standards “Misty” and “Satin Doll” along with more contemporary jazz selections.  Tickets are $6 for the public and groups of 10 or more are half price. The Run for the Nation 2013 is coming up on Oct. 19.

RunNat Day is a day of running and prayer.  It’s an event for the city of Sedalia and the nation of America.  Sign up for RunNat 2013 and unite with thousands of runners around the world to see God’s heart and transformation in communities.  They’ll meet at the First Christian Church, 200 S Limit Ave  and run from there beginning at 10:00 a.m.  and ending at 2:00 p.m. Join “Run-Nat Sedalia, Missouri” on Facebook and/or contact Michael Gertz at 660-287-7122 to find out how you can be a part of RunNat 2013.

The Sedalia Kiwanis Club invites the community join us for our annual Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast. 

For a nominal fee of $5 for adults and $2 for children 6 and under, you will be served light, fluffy pancakes, sausage, fruit and a drink. All money raised will be used for Kiwanis youth programs in Sedalia and Pettis County. Tickets are available from any Kiwanis Club member. For more information contact Dave Kelley at 660-826-8218.

Help raise money for breast cancer research by getting your hair cut during the annual Clip for A Cure event at Smart Style Family Hair Salon. 

On Saturday, Oct.19, 10% of all proceeds from haircuts will be donated to the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, which supports early diagnosis, prevention, treatment and research for cures.  To further raise awareness, the salon will sell $2 breast cancer awareness rings, $12 bracelets, and other limited edition pink products.

There will be a Pumpkin Sale to benefit the Quisenberry School House. 

It’ll be held on Saturday, Oct. 19 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The house is located at  1770 Quisenberry Road. They’ll have pumpkins, gourds, and mums along with hot dogs, popcorn and apple cider.

The St Ann Bazaar will be held in conjunction with Heritage Days.

On Saturday October 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  and again from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday October 20.  They’ll have a craft booth, country bakery, flea market, country store, and cake wheel.  On Saturday there will be a Spaghetti and Meatball dinner from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday there will be  Roast Beef Dinner from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Tickets are $7 for adults, and $3 for children.  The event will be held in the Parish Hall, west damn access road off Hwy 7 in Warsaw.

The Crest Ridge School Senior Parents are hosting their Project Graduation Fundraiser.

Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament! Oct. 19, 2013 at 6 p.m. A pizza buffet will be included in the ticket price. Tickets are $35 prior to the day of the event and $40 at the door. 1st place $500 (with minimum 75 players). Pays out top 3 places. There will be a Chip Raffle, Add Ons and Rebuys and a Final Seat Auction. All proceeds benefit the Crest Ridge Class of 2014 Project Graduation. The Saline Coin Club will have their 53rd Annual Exhibition.

They’ll have their coin and artifact show on October 20 at the Martin Community Center, near the airport in Marshall.  The admission is free, there will be door prizes, and the public is invited to buy, sell, or trade.  Doors open Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Prombie Apocalypse is going to be a great chance to dress up and get a little scary at Convention Hall.

It'll be on Saturday, Oct 19 and the doors will open at 6:00 p.m.  You gotta get out there and check this out: there'll be all sorts of great door prizes and giveaways out there.  They've got a Zombie Walk Off Contest, the Royally Undead Court Crowning, music and socializing.  A portion of the profits from the event will go to the Sedalia Public Library.

The St Paul's Lutheran Church will have their community baby shower.
