The 2022 Roadrunners soccer roster will be filled with newcomers, who could play their first collegiate match this fall. SFCC only returns a few student-athletes, who played in regular season competition.

Roadrunners Head Coach Jaime Beltran recently announced the roster for the upcoming season.

The returning student-athletes are Lucas Martin and Wesley Morrison of Sedalia; Erick Murillo of New Mexico; Roberto Jauregui of Texas; Andry Salazar of Florida: Leonardo Camatta, Kenzo Florio, Breno Prado of Brazil; and Alejandro Justiniao Cespedes of Bolivia.

Oscar Garcia of Texas; Hugo Sanchez and Rodrigo Prieto of Spain joined the team in January.

The newest additions include Ian Viscarra and Skylar Perry (team manager) of Sedalia; Patrick Olsen of Cole Camp; Javier Talavera and Caleb Jones of Knob Noster; Carson Whittle of Iberia; Caleb Sandgren of Ozark; Garrett Havrilia of St. Louis; Diego Flores of Texas; Kilian Jung of Germany; Abdourahman Jallow of Gambia; Ollie Bell, Owen Humphrey, Ben Bailie, AJ Young, Alfie Poulter of England; Cian Murphy of Scotland; Dario Catalan, Raul Gomez of Spain; Simone Vitale, and Giordano Anzuini of Italy; and Miguel Altieri of Brazil.

“We replaced a lot of people,” said Beltran. “We are young but, we are bringing in guys that have experience at some very high levels. We are bringing a lot of guys who have been captains and starters so we have some leadership and accountability.”

Even with so many new student-athletes coming in, Beltran is confident the team is built to succeed.

“We always try to build teams that will be strong in the back line and in possession,” said Beltran. “Hopefully, once you build those two things, you can play attacking soccer. We are looking forward to getting this group to mesh.”
