State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners Head Basketball Coach Kevin Bucher has announced the addition of Aniyah Harris of Ellenwood, Georgia.

She is a 5’10’’ guard who played basketball for her father Lamar Harris at Dutchtown High School in Hampton, Ga.

As a senior, Harris averaged 14 points and six rebounds per game, placing her second on the team in rebounds. She earned second team all-region honors, Defensive Player of the Year and the team’s Improved Player Award during her high school career.

“Aniyah is a hard-nosed player,” says Bucher. “She can shoot the three-point shot, take the ball to the basket and is athletic and possesses good size. She played on a team at a big high school that made it to the Elite Eight. She loves the game and has been around it for a long time, and we are fortunate to have her as part of our program.”

Harris also earned honor roll recognition all four years in high school. She has signed a National Letter of Intent and will begin her academic and athletic career at SFCC in the fall. She plans to major in nursing.
