State Fair Community College is hosting the annual sports camps beginning in June, and area children will have the opportunity to improve upon their basketball skills

According to a press release from the college, players will learn from SFCC coaches and student-athletes, including other high school and college coaches.

The camps will take place at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center in Sedalia.

Girls in 3rd-9th grades, who are interested in the Girls Basketball Camp, will meet June 5-8, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The cost for the class is $70. The press release states that each camper will receive a T-shirt, and awards will be presented to individuals in specific areas of basketball.

An all-day boys basketball camp for grades 3-12, will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 12-14. The emphasis with this class will be to improve basketball skills. The Roadrunners new head-coach. Matt Brown, will be one of the instructors. The cost to attend is $95. The deadline to register for this camp is June 9th. Campers will also receive a T-shirt and individual awards will be presented.

A boys and girls shooting camp for 3rd - 12th grade students, will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 15 and then again from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on June 16. This camp is designed to teach students proper shooting form, and each camper will receive a personal shot evaluation to help improve shooting skills. The cost to attend is $50. The deadline to register is June 14.
