Sacred Heart baseball beat Sweet Springs with Malta Bend 13-3 Monday night.

Connor Rice was the winning pitcher for Sacred Heart. He threw four innings allowing two earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts. He also had two hits on offense to go along with his solid outing on the mound.

At the plate, Carter Rice and Gavin Caldwell each had three hits and three RBIs.

Traven Wheeler also added three RBIs including the last two of the game to enforce the “10 run-rule” in the bottom of the 5th inning. Tanner Damlo was also 2-4 at the plate.

Sacred Heart moves to 12-5 (9-3 in the Kaysinger Conference) on the season and wrapped up its regular season Tuesday with a home game against New Franklin at Liberty Park/Dey Field. It was also senior night for Sacred Heart.
