The Sacred Heart boys varsity basketball team traveled to Otterville Friday night to take on the Otterville Eagles. 

The game was a physical contest from the tip and at the end of the first quarter, the Gremlins held to a one-point lead, 18-17.

Sacred Heart, led by Senior Connor Rice’s 25-point performance, pulled away to a 78-38 victory.

Connor Brown had another strong performance and finished with 13 points. Max Van Leer chipped in 11, Carter Rice 10, and George Bain 8.

The Gremlins (11-3) are on the road Tuesday to take on the Stover Bulldogs (11-3).

Otterville is now 6-9.

The Grems play Lincoln (3-10) at home Wednesday.
