SH Golfers Take First at District

High School Class 1, District 2 Tournament was played at Sedalia Country Club on Monday.

The first-place team was Sacred Heart (Sedalia) with a 372.  New Covenant Academy (Springfield) placed second with a 415.

First place individual awards went to Savannah Thessing of New Covenant Academy for a score of 79.  Second place was an 85 and went to Caten Lucchesi of Sacred Heart.  Addy Trammell of Sacred Heart clenched the third-place spot with a 92.

Sacred Heart also had medalists with Kelsey Hudson, 95, for a 6th place finish, Megan Wingerter came in with an even 100 for a tie for 10th place, and Kate Carney brought in a 102 in a tie for 14th place.

Cole Camp had two medalists.  Riley Bright scored a 99 in a tie for 8th place, and Brooke Anderson tied for 10th place with a score of 100.

Green Ridge’s Addie Berry held the 13th position to medal with a 101.

The top 18 individual scores will advance to the State Tournament, to be held on October 19-20 at Paradise Point in Smithville.
