The monthly siren test, which was postponed for a week due to inclement weather last Wednesday, has once again been postponed, according to Dave Clippert, Sedalia-Pettis County Emergency Management Agency director.

"We were scheduled to conduct the siren test toady, but due to potential severe weather and storm activity to our west we are canceling the test for today. Our next test will be Aug. 3 at 12 p.m.." Clippert said.

"The 13 July 16WS graphic shows what we may be in store for today. Currently there are severe storms in Topeka that are making their way eastward, at the moment they are not expected to stay together to reach here. Now then, we have had a couple of strange years of weather so we will just have to wait and see what they actually do," Clippert stated.

"Mostly high winds and large hail are the main threats. The timing appears to be as early as 3  p.m. until 5  a.m. Thursday," he added.
