Smith-Cotton Senior Shaw Recognized With Marines Music Honor

Smith-Cotton High senior Alyson Shaw receives the Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence from U.S. Marines Sgt. Michael Robertson, the recruiter for the Sedalia area, during the S-C instrumental music spring concert May 11 in the Heckart Performing Arts Center.

The award, presented by the United States Marines Youth Foundation, recognizes diligence, dedication and musical excellence by a high school band member.
