Sedalia announces closure of 32 & Grand for water main replacement April 6-10

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 6, and continuing until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 10, the intersection of W. 32nd Street at South Grand Avenue will be closed.

However, South Grand Avenue on the west side and W. 32nd Street to the west of the intersection will remain open.

Residents to the south of the intersection will still have access to their driveways.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Tues., April 7, and continuing until 5 p.m. water service will be interrupted in these areas:

*West 32nd St. from S. Stewart Ave. to S. Washington Avenue

*South Grand Avenue from the intersection of 32nd Street south to the dead end, including Brentwood Avenue and Manor Court.

Heavy equipment and workers will be present on the roadway during this period working on a water main replacement project. Inclement weather or equipment breakdowns could delay completion, the city said in a press release.
