On Monday, Oct. 30 at 2:03 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1400 block of E. 14th Street for a report of a subject observed breaking into a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers established a perimeter of the area and a SPD drone was deployed. The subject was located using the drone as he was seen walking through various yards in the area and attempting to avoid law enforcement.

Officers moved in on the subject and placed him under arrest, as he matched the description of the subject seen breaking into vehicles on video.

29-year-old Evan C. Bankovich was evaluated by PCAD before being transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending charges of 2nd degree tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
