If you're looking for something to do next weekend you may want to head to Boonville for their annual Heritage Days celebration running from Wednesday, June 22 through Saturday, June 25. And there truly is something going on that will appeal to everyone.

The Little Mr. & Miss contest in Thespian Hall is the big Wednesday event. On Thursday at 7:00 PM CDT is the Mutt Strutt. And Friday is an outdoor screening of "Back to the Future" on the courthouse lawn at 8:30 PM CDT. This is after the Pedal Pull in the First Baptist Church parking lot at 6:30 PM CDT. Saturday is a full day of fun including a car show, antique tractors, a quilt show, and more, with the Heritage Days parade happening at 10:00 AM CDT.

Here are some of the other highlights happening at Booneville's Heritage Days later this week:

  • Friends of Historic Boonville are offering tours of the old jail & hanging barn, as well as Thespian Hall throughout the weekend.
  • Heritage Days Carnival Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 6:00 PM -10:00 PM CDT, and a Saturday session 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM CDT. The daily armband for one of the sessions is $20.
  • Heritage Days Beer Garden Friday night & Saturday.
  • Heritage Days Wine Garden / Hain House featuring tastings, dinners, and more.
