Stover Man Killed in Benton County Accident

A Stover man was killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2007 Ford, driven by 53-year-old Gregory S. Heimsoth of Stover, was eastbound on Route JJ at Route A at 11:35 a.m., when the driver possibly experienced a medical issue, missed the stop sign and ran off the road.

Heimsoth was pronounced dead at the scene by Benton County Coroner Weston Miller at 11:55 a.m. The body was transported to Fox Funeral Home.

The Ford had minor damage.
