The City of Sedalia has been selected from a nationwide pool to be one of 11 communities to be awarded a $750,000 Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grant.

Prop A, which generates additional money to run the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, passed by a nearly 70% to 30% margin.

New Council members who won their elections April 2 were officially sworn in Monday night at the regular Sedalia City Council meeting.

Andrew Dawson takes the seat of former Councilman Russell Driskell, who died Jan. 22. Dawson was appointed to the position by Mayor John Kehde.
