Friday, August 12 is the monthly Senior Dance at the Senior Center located at 312 South Washington Avenue, in Sedalia. The dance starts at 7:00 PM and ends at 10:00 PM. Admission is $5.00 per person and they ask everyone to bring a covered dish for the dinner...

So we've heard about one of the new concert packages coming this year to our Missouri State Fair Grandstand:  Def Leppard, Styx, and Tesla.

I know this is going to make me sound so incredibly old, but here goes.  There's something I've noticed about the young people today - they don't seem to know much about what happened before them.  In fact, my niece will use that as an excuse for just about anything she doesn't know that's pop culture related.

For several years now, Justin Lawson has organized this huge local music event: Making the Band. If you don't know about Making the Band, then I'll tell you!

Something huge is coming to the State Fair Community College.  Not only will there be scads of teenagers, but sequins, rhinestones, dance shoes and EXCITEMENT. Sixteen choirs from 13 school districts will compete Jan. 10 at the 2015 State Fair Community College invitational Show Choir Festival in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus.
