Taylor Chapel Block Party A Success
Taylor Chapel First United Methodist Church, 400 North Lamine, held their annual community block party Saturday, with free food, games, music, clothing, and appearances by Sedalia Police, Sedalia Fire and PCAD.
There was also the offer of a free haircut for adults and free face painting for the kids at the block party, which benefitted from great weather.
Carol Pritchard was in charge of the festivities and spoke with KSIS about the event.
“It’s to show God’s love to everybody,” Pritchard said. “Remember that Jesus loves everybody, and you know, we always say ‘Love the Lord dear God, with all your heart, soul mind and body, and love your neighbor as yourself ‘ and that’s we always practice here.”
Some of the materials for the block party were donated, while some were taken care of by the church.

Pritchard, who is Pastor Calvin Pritchard’s wife, noted that weekly services at Taylor Chapel begin at 11 a.m., every Sunday.
