Tesla’s Self-Charging Car Is (Frighteningly) Good Technology
The machines are taking over.
Okay, that's a little dramatic, but the thought may cross your mind when you watch this.
Tesla posted a video on its Twitter feed today (August 6) of a device that automatically figures out how to plug into a Model S.
The contraption is called a Solid Metal Snake because -- duh! -- it is solid, made of metal and moves like a snake.
There's definitely something slightly unnerving about watching this, but it could have practical application in that if it ever comes to market consumers won't necessarily have to worry about plugging in a charger on their own.
The snake isn't unexpected. Tesla co-founder Elon Musk made sure people knew it was in the works a few months back. Be afraid. Very afraid.
