The MSHP reported that a northbound 2000 Toyota Avalon driven by 61-year-old Doretta F. Davis of Sedalia had stopped to make a left turn at the crest of a hill at Walnut Grove and Quarry Road at 6:18 p.m. when a southbound 2005 Ford Mustang driven by 35-year-old Daniel E. Leisen of Hughesville topped the hill and struck the front passenger side of the Toyota.

Both drivers suffered moderate injuries. Leisen was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center, while Davis was taken to Saint Luke's Hospital. Both were wearing a safety device, according to the report.
