Two people were shot this afternoon, July 22, at the Galleria Mall in St. Louis. This according to a report from the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

The newspaper reports St. Louis County Police say that a man in his early 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, and another man whose age wasn't immediately known was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The shooting followed an altercation between two groups on the second floor at the north end of the mall. Police told the Post Dispatch they believe three or four people then fled possibly exiting through the Dillard's Department Store.

Earlier this afternoon the St. Louis County Police tweeted a picture of a person of interest in the shooting and asked anyone with further information to contact the St. Louis County Police or Saint Louis Crimestoppers.

St Louis County Police are continuing to ask the public for help in reference to the shootings at the mall.

A mall spokesperson told the St. Louis Post Dispatch, "We are disheartened and angered by the senseless incident that occurred in our shopping center this afternoon."
