Unsung Heroes Honored at Central Bank Luncheon

Some of the Central Bank of Sedalia Unsung Heroes for 2024 were honored at a luncheon held Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Central Bank Annex on West Broadway.

Each received an award with their name engraved on it.

The Unsung Heroes are nominated by the public and submitted to Townsquare Media Sedalia every month from March through December.

Those chosen are interviewed on the radio, photographed for an online story and honored for their selfless and tireless work in the community.

There is a link on ksisradio.com where you can “Nominate an Unsung Hero” for a future month.

Like the story says, “We need you to tip us off to the unsung hero you know. We, along with Central Bank of Sedalia, will pick one nominee to be highlighted every month. This person and their great deeds will be featured on our website, our social media pages, and on our Sunday morning public affairs program, Townsquare Talk.”

Townsquare Media Sedalia Market President Mike Pettis issued the following statement about Unsung Heroes:

“We have been honored to team with Central Bank for the past few years to honor the Unsung Heroes in our community. These are individuals that do wonderful things for our community and its people, while not always getting recognition for what they do.

“This gives the people they help and their peers the opportunity to show their appreciation for these Unsung Heroes, while also informing our audience about the ways they are giving back to West Central Missouri.

“These Unsung Heroes we have recognized in 2024 truly make our local community a better place to live, work and thrive. We look forward to our continued partnership with Central Bank in 2025, so that we can proudly honor more of these outstanding people who go above and beyond,” Pettis said.
