Wal-Mart Has A New Fashion Line That Includes Sweater Pants

I admit, I'm not much of a fashionista. It's mostly because when you're short and chubby, you're kind of limited in what you can get.

But also, I'm limited in that I don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes. It's a gamble sometimes if stuff will stay comfortable, too. So I kind of stick to my usual go to. Jeans and a t-shirt, jeans and a polo, jeans and a sweater. I might like to look at a Gucci sweater, but I ain't payin three grand for something that looks nice but will probably end up being itchy.

And a lot of the time, the "fashion" is just ridiculous in my opinion. Ripped jeans? On purpose? My mother would have thrown those out. Pants with writing on the butt? I'm not 14. Slacks with jewelry in them? No thank you, I don't wanna scratch my washer.

So it seems like the new fashion line from Wal-Mart is directly targeted at people like me. They've got a new line coming out called Free Assembly. They've got more than 30 items for women and 25 items for men, all priced between $9 and $45. There's also a kids line, if you want the kids to be glammed up. I decided to check it out and see if there was anything that might be worth picking up (even though I don't need new clothes!).

According to their corporate website:

At its core, this new brand is born from thoughtful, simple design, quality fabrics, modern silhouettes and styles updated for today. It’s as timeless as it is versatile, with wardrobe staples that are easy to mix, layer and assemble freely. These are pieces designed to have staying power.

Overall, I feel like they were trying for that, and they may have hit it a few times, but it's not for me.  Although I might have to pick up a pair of them sweater pants.
