When it comes to computers and the internet do you wonder what SEO means?

Have you ever wondered how Google decides what web pages to show you when you're searching? Or are you frustrated that your website is buried 15 articles down the page when people search for you on Google? You can learn the answers to these questions and more at the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce's second seminar in their Digital Marketing Series.

Digital has become a huge part of every business. I speak from experience because  digital is extremely important to our company. We don't just talk to our fans through the radio. We speak to them through apps, social media, and websites. Some of our fans may know us more through our websites and apps than they do through their car radio.

Additionally, we make our money from helping connect our fans with local businesses. And unlike many media companies, we can do more than put your business on the radio, we can help you digitally.

I mention all this not to try and sell you something, but to illustrate to you how important being digitally literate is to your business. SEO, or search engine optimization, is a very powerful tool you can use to make sure your business shows up on Google searches when potential customers need your product of service. And the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce's second seminar in their Digital Marketing Series: SEO, will help you do just that.

University of Central Missouri Assistant Professor of Marketing Annie McCoy will tell how you Google decides what web pages to show you. And she'll show you how you can make sure your business shows up on Google searches at the best possible moments. This seminar gives you access to content that will help you optimize your website for search engines and includes free resources to help you accomplish this.

This session is open to Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce members and is set for Thursday November 12 at 11:45 AM CST. You can learn more about the seminar and the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce here. And Warrensburg Chamber members can sign up for this free seminar here.
